East Troy Farmers’ Market seeks vendors for 2013 season

The East Troy Farmers’ Market seeks vendors for its 2013 season. The market will begin its fifth season in a new location on the grounds of Wild Flour Bakery, across from Frank’s Piggly Wiggly and on a new day and time, Fridays from May 24 through October 4 from 3-7 p.m.

“We decided to make a change this year based on the feedback we received from our vendors, who wanted a more accessible location to increase traffic,” said Ellie Griffa from Square Roots, who chairs the East Troy Area Chamber of Commerce’s Farmers’ Market Committee. “We also feel that Wild Flour and Michael Fields Agricultural Institute provide stability to the market and can more easily share their resources onsite.”

The committee has developed a full slate of free family activities to enhance the experience of weekly shoppers at the market, as well as live music and, of course, lots of fresh food and artisan craft items from area producers.

Vendor booths are available by the day for $15, by the quarter for $60 or for the entire season for $200. Download an application form from the Chamber’s website, www.easttroywi.org.
